Community Cast needed for the World Premier of WALLENSTEIN at the Minerva Theatre.

We are looking for 6 local actors to join a cast of 15, which includes Ian Glen, Charlotte Emmerson in Wallenstein.  This epic Friedrich Schiller Play has been adapted by Mike Poulton, whose recent adaptation of Don Carlos has helped reintroduce Schiller’s genius to British audiences; and his adaptations for Chichester include Uncle Vanya, Fortune’s Fool, The Father and The Cherry Orchard. It is being directed by CFT’s associate director, BAFTA nominated Angus Jackson whose work at CFT includes Carousel, The Father, The Waltz of the Toreadors and Funny Girl.

We are looking for 6 men aged 20-70 . The men will be playing soldiers, guards and messengers; so whilst height is not important, being fairly well built would be an advantage.

You will need to be available for a total of two days between April 27th and May 16th for a rehearsal/costume fittings etc(travel etc paid for by CFT). These dates will be identified at a later time and then from May 18th to rehearse in Chichester until the play opens (May 22nd). WALLENSTEIN runs from 22nd May – 13th June in the Minerva Theatre.
