BARCHESTER PLAYERS AGM
19th SEPTEMBER 2011
DONNINGTON PARISH HALL at 7.30PM
At the committee meeting held on Monday 18th July 2011, the officers and a number of committee members notified the Secretary of their intention to stand down at the AGM. The following posts will need to be filled therefore, namely that of Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, and as a minimum two committee members. Both Hilary Riddell and Helen Morris and indicated that they would be prepared to continue as committee members and consequently nominations are required for the position of officers.
Should it not be possible to fill these vacancies, it has been agreed by your committee that a resolution be placed before the membership at the AGM that the Barchester Players be disbanded as to continue in the absence of duly elected officers would contravene the rules laid down in our constitution and make it impossible for the Society to continue. The nomination forms are
downloadable below and I would ask that as many of you as possible give thought to putting your names forward so as to avoid this contingency. Nominations must be received by the Secretary, Mrs. Jane Blackford, normally not less than forty-eight hours before the start of the AGM.
